KITCHENER — Another local MP is hosting a shredding party for people who have sensitive documents to shred.
Kitchener-Conestoga MP Harold Albrecht will host his ninth annual shredding party along with Waterloo Region Police Service on June 10.
A police officer will be on hand to help residents protect themselves from fraud and identity theft. The event is free but donations to the local food bank are encouraged. A maximum of five boxes of documents per car will be allowed.
The shredding party will be held at 1187 Fischer-Hallman Rd. (Building 600, back parking lot off Max Becker Drive) in Kitchener from 9 a.m. to noon.
Kitchener Centre MP Raj Saini will host a shredding party at his downtown office this Saturday.
